BALMY APRIL WEDDING AT PLACE HOUSE HALL WITH A RELAXED CELEBRATION AT THE FOX AND HOUSE PUB IN HUNSDON

Eleanor and James were incredibly lucky to have the most amazing April weather for their wedding day at Place House Hall. It felt like a summer's day! They wanted a relaxed ceremony followed by celebrations in an informal pub setting with great food and live music surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Eleanor, her Mum, bridesmaid and mother in law had a very chilled morning getting ready in one of the beautiful rooms at the Salisbury Arms Hotel in Hertford. The atmosphere was incredibly calm and relaxed and they were all ready and waiting with half an hour to spare, so could enjoy a glass of fizz and a chat before heading to the ceremony venue.

The weather was unseasonably warm, so they were able to enjoy confetti and drinks in the courtyard afterwards, before heading to The Fox And Hounds for their reception.

Chilled Wedding Reception at the Fox & Hounds Pub

Pub culture is a huge part of their family life, so they couldn't have chosen a better venue to celebrate with their friends, family and a well-earned pint of Guinness!

The glorious summer-like April sunshine meant that guests could enjoy the pub courtyard and garden well into the evening: Drinking, chatting, playing garden games and dancing to the live music supplied by the very talented Colleen.

Sarah was brilliant from start to finish. She was calm, friendly, and made everyone feel really relaxed throughout the day. We wanted natural, candid photos and trusted her to capture the moments as they happened, and we're so glad we did. She caught so many genuine moments, and the photos are fantastic. We're absolutely thrilled with the images and would highly recommend her!

The details

Stunning seasonal flowers in spring hues of fresh pinks and blues were the perfect decorative accents in Place House Hall and many were reused at the pub to decorate the fireplace and tables. Rather than a traditional cake, Eleanor and James opted for a 'cheese cake' tower which provided a perfect cheese course for guests as the evening wore on.

There were lots of personal touches with a nod to their pub theme, with personalised beer mats for every guest, and personalised darts flights given as wedding favours.
