Hertfordshire wedding featuring a glorious stroll through Berkhamsted on market day!

It was a real pleasure to be asked to photograph this joyful wedding between Sarah and Rose in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. The whole day from start to finish was full of love and laughter. The brides had added so many personal touches to their day which made it extra special. Sarah wore some epic white Doc Martens under her wedding dress, and her socks even matched the colour theme of the stunning florals created by local florist Tanya at Apple Blossom Flowers

  • Blonde lady in red dressing gown getting nails painted
  • Bride with red hair having wedding make up applied

  • Young man in dark suit and pink tie fastening his watch

Though the brides got ready in the same hotel complex, they stayed apart ready for the big dress reveal. It was a wonderful moment!

Then on to the wedding ceremony in the beautiful Hall Room in Berkhamsted Town Hall. Sarah was escorted in by her sister, while Rose's teenage son had the privilege of walking his mum down the aisle.

Hands down my favourite part of the day was when the beaming brides led the rest of the wedding party through the busy Hertfordshire market town from the Town Hall to The Gatsby Restaurant, for the wedding reception. It was wonderful seeing the shoppers get caught up in the moment, to stop and smile, or offer congratulations.

The Gatsby restaurant is a super stylish converted cinema, which retains the stunning 1930s art deco interior, and perfectly reflected Sarah & Rose's personalities and their love for cinema. Guests were greeted by delicious salted caramel martinis and live music. There were some lovely personal touches in keeping with the cinema theme and Sarah had hand-made wonderful themed Lego minifigure scenes for table centrepieces as well as making and decorating three different cakes.
