SUNNY SEPTEMBER WEDDING AT HERTFORD REGISTRY OFFICE FOLLOWED BY A RELAXED PARTY AT THE WHITE HORSE HOTEL

Jo and Alex’s September wedding was a warm, relaxed celebration with just their closest friends and family—and their two young daughters by their side. They said their vows at Hertford Registry Office before heading to the White Horse Hotel in Hertingfordbury for an informal reception. Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the courtyard while a singer and guitarist played, and later in the evening a DJ kept everyone dancing and laughing. It was a simple, joyful day full of real moments, music, and love.

Relaxed morning getting ready at home

When I arrived at Jo's house it was already a hive of activity, with Jo and her 5 bridesmaids having hair and makeup done alongside a breakfast banquet and a glass of fizz, before heading to Hertford Registry Office for the ceremony. Jo's eldest daughter enjoyed joining in with the grown ups for a bit of pampering too, when she wasn't busy playing.

Intimate Wedding ceremony at Hertford Registry Office with close family and friends

Jo and Alex were married in a beautifully intimate ceremony at Hertford Registry Office, surrounded by their closest friends, family, and their two young daughters - You can always count on toddlers walking down the aisle to break the tension!

Portraits at Hertford County Hall

It was a very windy day, and the kids were getting fractious during the group photos, so it was great to give Jo and Alex a few minutes alone to process becoming newlyweds.

The Hertford County Hall pillars are an iconic setting for beautiful portraits, and complemented the vintage 1930s car perfectly.

Wedding Reception at the White Horse Hotel, Hertingfordbury

After couple portraits and a short drive to have a few minutes to themselves, Jo and Alex headed to the White Horse in Hertingfordbury for relaxed celebrations with friends and family. The glorious weather meant everyone could enjoy the sunshine in the White Horse courtyard for drinks and canapes, before dinner and dancing.
